What the app processes

• Settings (language, mosque or location, calculation method, sounds, appearance) are stored only on your device. There is no user account and nothing is sent to us.
• Location: if you choose local calculation and grant device location, the coordinates are used on the device only, to calculate prayer times. They never leave the device.
• Mosque search (MAWAQIT): when you pick a mosque, the app asks the public MAWAQIT service for mosques in your country/area and for the selected mosque's calendar. The request contains the country, approximate coordinates where applicable and the mosque identifier – no personal data. MAWAQIT's own privacy policy (mawaqit.net) applies to their processing.
• Quran recitations: audio files are fetched on demand from a static file host, which sees the usual technical connection data (IP address, time, requested file). Nothing is analysed.
• Notifications: prayer-time reminders are local notifications scheduled by the device itself. No push service and no server is involved.

What the app does not do

• No analytics, advertising or tracking services.
• No sharing of data with third parties beyond the requests described above.
• No collection of contact details, identifiers or usage profiles.

The website salah-hub.net

This policy covers the app and, in the same way, the website salah-hub.net. It is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (processing on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). When you visit, Cloudflare processes the technically necessary connection data (IP address, time, requested page, browser type) to deliver the site and to protect it from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not analyse this data ourselves.

• No cookies, no analytics: The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. That is why there is no cookie notice.
• Preferences in your browser: Your choice of language and colour mode is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to us. It is required for the display you asked for (§ 25(2) TTDSG).
• External links: Links to the App Store and Google Play lead to Apple and Google. Their privacy policies apply there.

Your rights

Since we store no personal data, there is nothing for us to correct or delete. Remove all locally stored data by deleting the app or choosing "Factory settings" (Settings → Device).
